iPhone 5 to be released on September 21st?

When will the iPhone 5 be released? Well, many people are looking forward to the month of September, where it is widely believed that at an Apple event on September 12th, Apple will make an announcement concerning the iPhone 5. The thing is, when will it be launched after the announcement? The past can be a pretty decent indicator of what might happen in the future, although no guarantees are given. Techcrunch did the math and claimed that a trusted source who is a Verizon employee has hit the nail on the head – that the iPhone 5 should hit retail on September 21st onwards, considering how the carrier will be having an all-staff vacation blackout from the dates of Friday, September 21, all the way to September 30.
Verizon would not be the first carrier to do this though, as AT&T did do the same when the iPhone 4 was launched last year. What do you think of the new release date, and will you be one of the many millions contributing even more money into Apple’s coffers to consolidate its position as the world’s most valuable company when the time comes?
